Lake Russell is 26,650 acres of open water created by the U. S. Army Corps of Engineers who own and maintain a border of land around all of the shoreline of the lake ensuring a natural pristine setting. The Corp retains a 300 foot collar around the lake which they manage intensively for wild life, recreation and shoreline protection with no development allowed in this area except for parks and public boat landings. No private docks or ramps are allowed anywhere on the lake. This property however has a rare set back of only approximately 140 from the property line to the high water mark along almost 586 feet of property line.
